REVIEW, PHOTOS AND SWATCHES: Perlier Imperial Honey Body Butter

Hello beauty lovers I am back with another post and today I'm going to be reviewing the Perlier Imperial Honey body butter.

I got this product from the iFabbo shop and I was a little weary about it because I'm not really a body butter kind of girl but I love honey so I decided to give it a try, and I have to say that I really really like it. It has become one of my favorite products that I use on my skin and I also had my mom try it and she fell love with it as well.

So let's get started with the review!

The packaging of this product is really nice. The top is a bright gold color and it's actually a nice size. I'll probably have this one for a while because I don't use a lot of body butter but I have been using this one quite a bit though.

The smell, when you first open it, is really powerful, it hits you like a wall. When I used this product for the first time I got into the car with my boyfriend and he said that the smell actually made him a little dizzy because it was so strong but you do get used to it so you won't smell it all the time.

I like the way it makes my skin feel. My skin feels softer and smoother after I use this which is really good for me because I tend to have really dry skin especially on my arms and legs so I'm really happy that this product actually smooths out my skin and doesn't just sit on top of it. It actually gets down deep and moisturizes it. I am officially making this my winter moisturizer! (:

I asked my mom what she thought about it and she said that she was so happy with it that she was actually wanted to buy another one because it gets rid of the ash that she has on her legs. She has dry skin as well and this product really works well for the both of us. My mom is planning on buying one for herself because I told her she can't use mine anymore.

Moving onto the consistency I was really surprised the first time I used this product because I thought it was going to be thinner than it is. It's actually really really thick and I was kind of worried about that for a minute because I thought it might not be as easy to rub in. Thankfully I was wrong. Even though this product is very thick it goes onto the skin really well and it rubs in really easily. I was very happy about that because I have tried body butters, and this is why don't like them, that take a while to rub into the skin, at least the ones I've tried. And they don't get deep down into my skin just sit on top and they don't moisturize.

But as I said this is not the case for this product and I'm really happy with the way that it moisturizes my skin and I'm very happy with this product overall (:

You can purchase the Perlier Imperial Honey Body Butter here (:

Use the code iFabbo5 to get $5 off your purchase (: Happy shopping!

Well that's it for this post!

Have you tried this body butter before? What do you think of it? Let me know in the comments below! (:

Be safe and I'll see you in my next post!

GUEST POST BY PAUL SMITH: Food For Healthy Hair And Nails

Healthy Hair

Perfect hair gives confidence, while dull, uncarefully coiffed or poorly dyed hair can ruin the mood. Hair and nails are important indicators of the state of our health. The direct interdependence between the structure of hair and nails and blood levels of certain trace elements , proteins , amino acids, hormones has been proved by scientists long time ago. The main trace element of hair is sulfur contained in amino acids (methionine, cystine, cysteine). The concentration of vitamins A, B5, B6, biotin and  trace elements selenium (Se), iron (Fe), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn) influences on the function of the hair follicles.
Our body is complex and unique. Most of the nutrients necessary for normal life, are synthesized in our organism, but some components must constantly come from the food we eat. That is why a correct, complete and balanced diet is very important for the health of our hair, nails and skin, as well as for the whole organism. What do we need to eat to provide our hair and nails with healthy components? When the body loses some nutrients, hair and nails suffer first of all. The body tends to retain the vital organs (heart, lungs, liver, kidney), giving them necessary elements supplies.
Diets for our hair
Greasy hair. The imbalance of skin lipid metabolism is the reason of greasy hair. This can be explained by the lack of vitamin B, which can be found in cereals, nuts, dairy products, eggs, wheat germ, beans and herbs. Yeast is also rich in vitamins B.
Dry and brittle hair. Typically, the hair is dry and brittle because of the lack of essential fatty acids. To make your hair shiny and healthy, include food containing these acids to your dietary intake: fish rich in fat (tuna, sardines, salmon, herring), cereals, nuts, olives, vegetable oil. And do not forget that your hair needs a lot of water, so it is important to drink 6-8 glasses of water every day
Hair loss. Very often lack of iron in the body causes hair loss. That is why, the diet must contain liver, red meat, eggs, legumes and cereals. Since hair consists mainly of protein particular attention should be given to products that contain it: meat, chicken, fish. This food strengthens the hair follicles and prevents hair loss. Vitamin E is also useful, it can be found in vegetable oil, eggs, spinach and broccoli. Sometimes hair loss is a consequence of the bad function of thyroid gland, it is advised to eat food rich in iodine, such as seafood, seaweed and sea kale. Try to eat more seafood, natural vegetable oil and whole-meal bread. It also will contribute to the formation of keratin, which is very important for hair. To prevent hair loss it is also important to eat food rich in silicon (strawberries, wheat). Avoid eating fried, spicy and salty food. Fast-food is particularly harmful for our hair and nails. Furthermore, reduce eating soda drinks, since the acidity of the blood washes minerals out of hair and leads to different problems.
Dull hair. Lack of zinc causes dull hair. Zinc can be found in oysters and other seafood, meat, cereals, legumes, sunflower seeds. Eat cottage cheese and sea kale. To produce the pigment that gives hair color and prevents early gray hair, we should eat food containing tyrosine and copper. They can be found in avocados, bananas, dairy products, pumpkin seeds, walnuts and Brazil nuts. Fruits, vegetables and green tea are rich in antioxidants and will help our hair to keep color. Copper prevents dandruff.

Healthy nails and food

Looking at the state of our nails we can also see the state of our health. Why nails are broken, exfoliate? What if white spots on them? How to take care of nails, keep them healthy and beautiful? It is very useful to eat jelly once a week - gelatin perfectly strengthens nails. Be sure to include fish, nuts, carrots with vegetable oil, pumpkin and other products rich in vitamin A in your diet. Often nails are broken due to a lack of silicon or zinc. Take multivitamins and food supplements containing these elements.
So, to enjoy the natural shine, strength of hair and strong nails, we need to eat healthy food. The diet should be well-balanced: the consumption of protein, fats and carbohydrates should be approximately in proportions 1:1:4.
The diet must contain cereals, dairy products, vegetables, fruit, and daily products containing protein: meat, fish, poultry, cheese and seafood. Be sure to use unrefined vegetable oils. Such products as bran, sprouted grains, nuts, soy, dried fruits can improve the state of our skin, hair and nails.

REVIEW AND PHOTOS: Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk Shampoo

Hello beauty fanatics! (: I am back with yet another review of one of my all time favorite shampoos ever!

Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk Shampoo (: everyone who reads my blog knows that I am obsessed with everything coconut so it's only fitting that I give you all a review of this fantastic product (:

So lets get started!

The most important thing that I look for when I am trying to pick out a new shampoo is the ingredients and the reason for this is because there are sertain ingredients that curly girls should not be using on their hair because it can become very dry. Silicones, parabens and sulfates are all ingredients that you should not be using on your hair if it is curly.

So I was really happy when I found this shampoo because it does not have any of those harsh ingredients that can damage my hair.

The next thing is the smell. I know that there are some shampoos out there that do not exactly smell bad but they do not smell like something I want my hair to smell like either. And I have tried a few shampoos that I stopped using because I just could not stand the smell.

That is not the case with this shampoo. It smells like coconut and for those of you who read my blog regularly you will find that I am in love with coconut.

The third thing that is important when I am trying a shampoo is if it actually gets my hair clean. Since I have naturally curly hair and curly hair tends to be a lot dryer than other types of hair I only shampoo the roots of my hair. Then when I rinse the shampoo out the rest of my hair gets cleaned with the run off. This keeps the ends of my hair from getting too dry and breaking off.

I am happy to report that this shampoo does a great job of cleaning my hair from root to tip and that is obviously very important for a shampoo (:

One minor thing that I like about this shampoo is that it does have bubbles. The lather is really nice and that is important to me as well (:

The only thing that turns me off about this shampoo is the size of the packaging; I wish it was just a little bit bigger. I know that they do smell bigger sizes but for some reason I am unable to find them so I just stick with the smaller ones but at only $6 this shampoo is still a great deal (:

Well guys that is it for this post (:

Have you tried this shampoo before? What were your thoughts? Let me know in the comments section! (:

Be safe and I will see you in my next post!

BLOGGER SPOTLIGHT: Jess From Just-Jesss!

Hello beauty lovelies I know that it has been a really long time since I have posted something for this series and I am so sorry that it took so long but this post is going to be another blogger spotlight and it is going to focus on Jess from Just-Jesss!

So Jess was one of the first bloggers that I met when I joined The Beauty Blogger Bunch on Facebook and I remember the first time I went to blog I was really amazed at how professional it looked and felt.

Since then I have really enjoyed reading Jess's blog because she has a wide variety of posts and she always has really interesting and fresh content.

So I am going to share with you a few of my favorite posts that I have read on her blog (:

So I think we all know why this is one of my favorite posts (: I love chocolate and I love cake so it is only natural that I would fall in love with this post. Not only is it delicious but it was easy to understand and follow, even for me who is a kitchen disaster (: By the way I have tried this recipe before and it is so wonderful!

So I love reading everyone's empties and favorites post but I really like reading Jess's and that is for two reasons. Number one she gives like a mini review for each product which I like because it really helps me in deciding if I am going to try that product or not. And two because Jess always has really interesting things that I have never tried AND she makes me want to try them! She's a persuasive one I'm warning you (:

Okay this might seem a little weird because as you guys know I am nail art incompetent (: but I have to say that I love Jess's designs. She has a lot of really nice and interesting designs, like the one above, that I would love to try if I was not so handicap with nail polish (:

I have really enjoyed reading Jess's blog and I am really happy that I have gotten to know her as a person as well as a blogger. Her blog has been around longer than mine and I feel comfortable having her to look up to so to speak (:

"I started blogging in the summer holidays from University mostly to keep myself busy when I couldn't find a job - I've carried it on for over two years now and am so happy with how my blog has grown! I wouldn't say I really have any goals apart from keeping blogging and carrying on enjoying it. The thing I love most about blogging is the community, in particular on Twitter but also on Facebook and to a certain extent Google+, it's so nice having like-minded people I can chat beauty with so my poor boyfriend doesn't get his ear talked off on topics he couldn't care less about!" - Jess

Where can you find her?

Okay guys that is it for this week's blogger spotlight (:

Have you ever read Jess's blog? What do you think? (: Let me know in the comments below (No bashing please)

#TheWinterProject: Favorite Winter Scent

Hello my beauty winter bunnies (: today is going to be another installment of #thewinterproject (: and I am really excited about this one because it is going to be about my favorite winter scents and even though I do not have very many I love them a lot! (:

If you have any questions or you want to be a part of #thewinterproject check out this post by Bold95Beauty (:

So lets get on with the post! (:

Now I do not know if this is a winter scent but I absolutely love the scent of vanilla. I think it is so calming and soothing and to be completely honest it reminds me of cookies (: and I love cookies.

Okay guys, here comes another weird scent. I really love the smell of pine. Since I never had a real Christmas tree when I was little I used to go over to my cousin's house and they always had a huge Christmas tree and I remember it smelled so good (: so pine is one of my favorite scents for the winter.

Okay guys I can't be the only one who loves the smell of eggnog especially in the winter since that is the only time it is available (: Even though it makes me hungry the smell of eggnog always makes me feel really safe and a home, I'm not sure why.

Okay guys that is it for this post! (:

What are your favorite winter scents? (: Let me know in the comments below OR if you are participating in #thewinterproject leave your link so I can read your posts (:

#TheSkinProject: My Skin (:

So I am really late with this post but I am hope that Lianne will not be too mad at me -_- Also if you want to get involved with the #TheSkinProject or just want more information check out her post here (:

So this is going to be my first post in #TheSkinProject series and it is going to be all about my skin (:

So the two biggest problems that I have with my skin is that it is acne prone and it is also really sensitive. So I have to be very careful what I put on my face.

I remember being in high school and always having breakouts because no matter what I tried it never worked to keep my acne away and it was really annoying and frustrating. However recently I have had more and more luck with combating my acne which I am really happy about.

I would say that I am definitely a skin care beginner because all the way up to about a few months ago I thought I could just wash my face with soap and put some lotion on and I would be fine but I am learning that is definitely not the way to take proper care of my skin (:

The problem areas that I have are mostly my cheeks and I believe that is because of my cell phone and because I sleep on my sides so I am really working on trying to decrease the amount of oil and bacteria that sits on those areas.

As far as ageing is concerned I actually am not super concerned with that right now since I am only 20 but I am sure that it will not be a huge issue because I have notices that the women in my family age very gracefully thankfully (:

Well guys that is it for this post! (:

What are your skin care tips? Tell me in the comments below! (:

REVIEW AND PHOTOS: Becca One Perfecting Brush

Hello beauty lovers I am back with yet another review on one of my favorite products that I mentioned in my October Favorites and it is the One Perfecting Brush from Becca Cosmetics

I obtained this brush through a goodie bag that I got when I attended the +iFabbo Conference in San Francisco this year. If you want to see a an overview of that check out my post here (:

So what this brush does is it is supposed to replace all of your other facial brushes such as foundation, contouring, blush brush etc.

It is made out of high quality goat hair which buffs your primer and foundation onto your face evenly and also cuts down on wasted product

What I like about this brush is that it cuts down on the amount of time that it takes me to do my makeup by cutting it down to one brush. I can use this one brush for primer, foundation, powder and contouring. That is amazing!

Second it keeps me from having to buy products as often because I use less product when I am using this brush. Since it is made out of goat hair you are getting as much product as possible transferred from the brush to your face.

Also for those of you who read my blog you know that i am not really big on contouring however, this brush makes it really easy for me. Because of the flat top design I have easily contour and highlight my face without looking like a drag queen (:

So overall I am in love with this brush! (: Ever since the first time that I used it, it is all that I have been using to apply my makeup. I get a more even and airbrushed application using this brush than I do using my beauty blender or my fingers. Plus it is just faster and so much more convenient.

It is a bit of a push at $50 but in my opinion it is so worth it!

Well guys that is it for this post! (:

Would you be interested in trying this brush? Let me know in the comments below! (:
