REVIEW AND PHOTOS: Becca One Perfecting Brush

Hello beauty lovers I am back with yet another review on one of my favorite products that I mentioned in my October Favorites and it is the One Perfecting Brush from Becca Cosmetics

I obtained this brush through a goodie bag that I got when I attended the +iFabbo Conference in San Francisco this year. If you want to see a an overview of that check out my post here (:

So what this brush does is it is supposed to replace all of your other facial brushes such as foundation, contouring, blush brush etc.

It is made out of high quality goat hair which buffs your primer and foundation onto your face evenly and also cuts down on wasted product

What I like about this brush is that it cuts down on the amount of time that it takes me to do my makeup by cutting it down to one brush. I can use this one brush for primer, foundation, powder and contouring. That is amazing!

Second it keeps me from having to buy products as often because I use less product when I am using this brush. Since it is made out of goat hair you are getting as much product as possible transferred from the brush to your face.

Also for those of you who read my blog you know that i am not really big on contouring however, this brush makes it really easy for me. Because of the flat top design I have easily contour and highlight my face without looking like a drag queen (:

So overall I am in love with this brush! (: Ever since the first time that I used it, it is all that I have been using to apply my makeup. I get a more even and airbrushed application using this brush than I do using my beauty blender or my fingers. Plus it is just faster and so much more convenient.

It is a bit of a push at $50 but in my opinion it is so worth it!

Well guys that is it for this post! (:

Would you be interested in trying this brush? Let me know in the comments below! (:

Be safe and I will see you in my next post!

REVIEW, PHOTOS AND SWATCHES: BareMinerals Mineral Veil

Hello beauty friends! (: I am back with yet another beauty product review and this is something that I started using a few weeks ago but I have fallen head over heals in love with it (:

I got this product from Sephora because I wanted to try a new powder and I am already familiar with BareMinerals products so I felt confident in my purchase (:

This is the translucent powder that I used to set my foundation everyday. It comes in some other "flavors" but I chose the hydrating veil because my skin tends to get a little dry throughout the day

So when I first opened it there were instructions on how to use it (as if I did not know (: ). I long since discarded them but I'll give you the run down..

When you first open the powder the part that encases the powder is closed so that it does not get loose and make a mess

In order to open it you have to twist the top part to the left.

Then afterwards you just tap the powder into the top and buff it over your face after you apply your foundation to set it.

So on the the actual review (:

The thing that I like about this powder is that it it is really light. It did not make my face feel heavy or weigh it down. It also keeps my foundation from sliding off my face during the day which is the most important part of powder in my opinion.

As you can see the color is much lighter than my skin tone but the great thing is that this blends in and also leaves a very subtle shimmer.

This is the same swatch blended and you can't really see it in the picture but there is a bit of a shimmer on my hand.

Another great thing about this powder is that it keep my face from feeling dry and tight during the day which tends to happen when I use other powders.

The only thing that I would warn you guys about is remembering to close the powder encasing before you store this powder away because if you do not this powder will get EVERYWHERE and it is killer to clean up.

Overall this is a really amazing powder and I will probably be repurchasing this because I am almost out of it (:

So the way that I use this is after I apply my foundation I just take my Becca One Perfecting Brush and I tap a good amount of the powder into the top. Then I just dab my brush into the powder and dust it along my T-Zone.

Another thing I need to warn you all about is not to use too much of this powder because if you do it can turn out a bit cakey but only if you go way overboard with it (:

Okay guys that is it for this post!

Be safe and I will see you in my next post! (:

REVIEW, PHOTOS AND SWATCHES: BareMinerals Moxie Lipglosses And Lipsticks

Hello beauty friends I am back with another review post for you guys (: and this post is on something that I have fallen so deeply in love with ever since I tried them at BeatuyCon (:

I am going to be reviewing the BareMinerals Moxie lipgloss and lipstick line (:

So I am going to start out with the lipsticks (:

So the two shades that I got from this collection are Never Say Never and Break Away (:

Never Say Never is a very bright Barbie pink. It is matte however it has a cream finish. It goes very smooth onto the lips and it does not make them feel dry once it has been applied. Since the color is so bright I do not need to apply very much, usually one swipe on my top and bottom lips is enough. Usually I tend to stay away from pinks like this, however I decided to take a walk on the wild side and try it out (: and I actually like it. At $18 for 0.12 fl. oz. it is a little pricey but I am not going to lie I love these lipsticks and I think they are worth it (:

Next is Break Away

Break Away is a lot darker than Never Say Never I call it closer to a nude than a pink but there is a hint of pink in it. Like the previous color is it matte but it has a creamy finish and it goes onto the lips really nicely. This is my favorite lipstick right now. It is really hard for me to find a nude color because my skin tone is nude so when I wear a nude lipstick it just makes my lips look ashy. But I love this color, it looks really nice and I use this as my nude color even though it is a few shades darker than my natural lip color. Unfortunately I smashed it once after I used ti so that's why it looks so awful -_-

The packaging is really nice. You push down on the sliver button and slide it down and then you slip the lipstick out of the top case which keeps them protected. Once I figured out how to open it I realized that these lipstick smell like cookies, a lovely scent in my opinion. That is another thing that I like (:

Now we are on to the lip glosses (:

First up is party starter

Party starter is one of favorites out of the lip glosses that I have tried from this line. It is a beautiful, shimmery, bright peach shade. I really wanted a peach shade because I think it goes really well with my skin tone and I just think that peach is kind of a misunderstood shade so I was excited to try this gloss. It does give a bit of color to my lips and it has a lot more shimmer than the other glosses do.

Up next is Game Changer

This is a very beautiful and vibrant red color! I was so happy when I got this color because I had been scouring for a really good red gloss. I love this color because it does give my lips a red tint but it does not make it overly red or take over my face.

Rebel is next

I already have a gloss by NYX that is a similar color, that I talk about in my Favorite Everyday Lip Colors, but I really wanted to try out different brands of this same gloss and I have to say that I really do like this gloss. It has less shimmer than the NYX gloss which is good. It has a thicker formula as well so it sticks to my lips better (:

Last but definitely not least is Spark Plug

Now this is my favorite shade out of all of the Moxie glosses that I have tried (: mostly because it is a nude-ish gloss color. If you guys have not realized already I am a little addicted to nudes. This gloss also gives me a similar tint as the Break Away lipstick. It also has a bit of a shimmer to it which is okay since it is not extremely noticeable (:

One thing that I love about these glosses is the formula. It is thick which means it adheres to my lips better and it stays on longer (in my opinion). I'm really glad that they did not go overboard on the sparkles as well.

The only problem that I have with these glosses is the smell. Unlike the wonderful cookie smell that the lipsticks have these glosses smell like menthol and they make my lips tingle when I apply them but other than that I think that these glosses are fantastic and recommend them to anyone who has a thing for lipglosses like I do (:

Have you tried these Moxie glosses or lipsticks? What do you think? If you have not, do you think that these are some things you would like to try? Let me know in the comments below! (:

Okay guys well that's it for this post!

Be safe and I will see you in my next post! (:

REVIEW, PHOTOS AND SWATCHES: Smashbox Cosmetics Primer

Hello beauty lovers I am back with a brand new post and this is a review on the Photo Finish Foundation Primer by Smashbox Cosmetics.

Smashox certainly made a splash when they created their new line of primers including a funny video which stars Kristin Chenoweth, It-Girl P'Trique and Youtube beauty gurus Kandee Johnson, AndreasChoice and Camila Coelho.

For those of you who are primer virgins, a primer is a product that you use on top of your daily moisturizer and underneath your makeup. What a primer does is that it preps your face for the makeup, it fills in your pores and makes them look smaller, it helps your makeup adhere to your face better and it helps your makeup stay on longer.

This primer is oil-free and works well with all skin types.

I won the sample size of this primer and I was waiting to see how I liked it before I went out and bought the full size so here it is:

It has a really nice formula. It's thick and it really sticks to my face, I like that (:

Aside from a few touch ups during the day This primer does keep my makeup from sliding off my face even on days when I sweat (which is pretty much every day).

The only thing about this primer that I could do without is the amount of time that it takes to sink into my face. I put on a very thin even layer but I'll go away from five minutes and when I come back the primer will still be wet and I end up blotching the excess off.

Other than that I'd say this is a really nice primer as long as you're not in a hurry. I am still loyal to my Bareminerals primer but this is a nice alternative if I want a change.

Okay guys that's it (: Be safe and I'll see you in my next post!

REVIEW, PHOTOS AND SWATCHES: LA Colors Jumbo Eyeliner Pencils

Hello lovelies, today I am going to be doing a review on the jumbo eyeliner pencils by LA Colors.

I got the colors Sunglasses, which is just a simple black color, Sea Shells which is white and Relaxation which is a shimmery brown.

I chose these colors because they are the colors that I use the most but after using these three colors I am convinced to buy more (: so moving on the the review.

First is Sunglasses.

I normally like my eyeliner to wing out and I was pleasantly surprised when I found that this pencil allowed me to do that. The pencil is very dark and very easy to apply. Literally if you just lightly tap the tip of the pencil you will get some black, I like that. I do not have to use a lighter or any kind of heat on this pencil. It is very soft and VERY pigmented. Sometimes I also use it to darken my eyebrows, I just dab my angle brush on the tip and I am good to go!

This pencil is very smooth and it lasts throughout the entire day. Since I tend to have really long days this is important to me (:

Next is Sea Shells.

Okay obviously I do not wear my white liner like this everyday but I do wear it on my water line when I want to appear more awake and I do not want my eyes to look like a zombie. This pencil was not as soft as Sunglasses but it does apply very easily and the pigmentation is good. However on my waterline I find myself having to reapply every few hours but I think that is just because my eyes water so much during the day.

I have had bad experiences with other white liner that actually scratched my water line because they were not soft enough and I did not have that problem with this pencil.

Last but not least is Relaxation.

So I ran out of eyes to sample on (: so instead I used the brown pencil on my lips (something I had never tried before) and it was not bad at all. It did not make my lips feel dry and it actually almost felt like a lipstick which I think is great. Just like the other two it is very pigmented and it goes on very easily and smooth. This color also has some shimmer to it which I think is nice.

There other thing that I like about these pencils is that they are very thick and durable. I have broken a pencil or two in my time (:

So all in all combined with the price (I got mine for $1.98 each) I'd say that these pencils are a really good sensible buy for someone who is in love with eyeliner like I am. Even for a person who wants to experiment with colors I would say that this is an excellent place to start.

Have you tried LA Colors Jumbo Pencil before? What do you think of them? Comment down below! (:

Well guys that is it for this post (:

Review, Photos and Swatches: Burt's Bees Hibiscus Tinted Lip Balm

Hello Beauty lovers I have a new review for you guys and it is on my absolute favorite lip balm of all time!

Burt's Bees Hibiscus Tinted Lip Balm!!!

My lips are not very colored and I do not think that they are very pretty so I really like this lip balm because it does had some nice color to my lips. And it also looks very natural.

Another thing I like about this lip balm is that it has a nice consistency, it's thick but it is not so thick that you can't rub your lips together but it also stays on really well. I notice that I do not have to reapply as often as I do with other lip balms. Also it is really nourishing to my lips, I notice when I take it off my lips feel really soft. It's nice (:

Here are some swatches:

Look at that color! (: So Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm comes in 9 different shades, however Hibiscus is the only one that I have tried so far. I will probably do a review on a few more of the shades but that will be after I post my BeautyCon haul this weekend.

I definitely recommend this lip balm to anyone who wants to enhance or add some color to their natural lips. Also this brand is not too expensive mine was $7 and I got it on their website. This lip balm is 100% natural no harsh ingredients or anything like that AND it smells good! (:

SO you guys that is it for this review but leave a comment below if there is ANYTHING at all that you guys would like to see, any specific posts that you guys want let me know in a nice comment and I will make it happen

REVIEW: Maybelline New York Fit Me Powder and Liquid Foundation!!

Hello and happy Tuesday my fellow beauty lovers!! So I decided that I really needed to do a review on my absolute favorite foundation right now. There are three things that I look for in a foundation:

1. Coverage: Unless it is really hot or I do not feel like wearing makeup that day I like a full coverage for my foundation

2. Shade Match Up: For some reason it's hard for me to find I foundation that I think matches with my skin tone so when I do find one I cling onto it for dear life

3. Price: I am not saying that it has to be under $5 but I definitely do not want to spend $20+ on a foundation

So now moving on with the actual review starting with the liquid foundation (:

Maybelline New York Fit Me Liquid Foundation 340
I was really impressed with this foundations because it really covered all of the areas that I look for in a foundation. It is a very thick formula so it gives me that full coverage that I want. It matches up really well with my skin tome and it was $6. Now I am not going to lie I was a little nervous to try the foundation because of the price but I was pleasantly surprised. Also, it does not add any extra oil to my face. I tend to sweat a lot during the day but I like that this formula is very oil free and did not feel too heavy on m face.

Overall I am in love with this foundation!

Now onto the powder (:

Maybelline New York Fit Me Powder Foundation 340

Maybelline New York Fit Me Powder Foundation Second Look
Again, I am very satisfied with this product! Sometimes on days when I do not feel like wearing foundation I will just dust on some of this powder and it works just as well! It gives me the coverage that I want but with half the effort (: I also like the packaging; on top is the powder and when you lift that up there is a mirror and powder fluff. So cute! For $12 this combination of products is a steal!!

Overall this combination of products is amazing and I am so glad that I found them (:
