Review: Olay Fresh Effects Exfoliating Cleanser

Happy Friday!

Today I am doing a review on a product that was in my May 2014 Favorites and it is the Olay Fresh Effects Bead Me Up! Exfoliating Cleanser.

So let's get started.

The purpose of this product is not only to wash your skin but also to exfoliate it and that is what the beads are for.

This cleanser has a nice fragrance if you notice it. It isn't very strong so you might not notice unless you are actually smelling for it.

It has a really nice consistency, it isn't too watery which I really appreciate. There are little scrubby beads so you will feel those on your skin but it doesn't hurt or anything and after you have been washing your face for a while the beads dissolve.

Packaging is really pretty, I really enjoy the design on the front because it reminds me of something a child would draw. It isn't too hard to open or anything like that but I also haven't been having any problem with it bursting open so it travels well.

It is a regular size for a facial cleanser so if you are going to travel with it I would transfer it to a smaller container if you want to save space.

This product makes my skin feel really nice and smooth after I wash it and I think it is because of the exfoliating beads, it really gets off all of the dad skin.

This product works really well for me. I am noticing a big difference in my skin. My breakouts are clearing up but it also just feels smoother and it looks better in my opinion

I would say that this product works well with all skin types. I have sensitive skin and it works great for me.

I feel like this product falls into a younger age group, probably from early teens to early 30s but everyone could certainly use it.

Because of the thickness of this product I find myself not having to use very much of it to get my face really clean so this product will probably last a while even with using it twice a day.

I really recommend this product to anyone who is looking to try something new for their skin or if you are having problems with your acne.

I like this product because I really feel like it gets my skin clean and also it exfoliates my skin so I don't feel like I have to buy a separate product to exfoliate which helps me save money.

I can't say that there is anything that I didn't like about this product, the only thing that i found strange was that there were no bubbles but that's not a big deal.

I bought this product because I ran out of my normal face wash and I couldn't find it anywhere so I really needed something on a short notice and this was on sale at CVS Pharmacy.

I would definitely buy this product again I am very happy with it. I got this product at CVS Pharmacy for $4.99 but normal price is $7.99.

Pros:
Thick
Exfoliates and cleans
Works well with all skin types
Simple fragrance
Nice packaging
Lasts long

Cons:
No bubbles
Not optimal size for travel
A bit pricey

Well guys that is it for this post!

What do you guys think of this product? Let me know in the comments.

Review on Klix Brushes!

Hello everyone! Happy Friday!

So today is going to be a review that is long overdue because these brushes are just great. I bought them at the New Girl Expo last year and I also gave a set away in my first giveaway, that's how much I love them.

Lets get started with the review!

First, a general overview.

Klix brushes are recyclable, replaceable makeup brushes that you do not have clean. You simply detach the dirty head and replace it with a clean fresh one after a few applications.

Since dirty makeup brushes can harbor bacteria that can infect your skin or even reduce it's natural appearance it is important to only use clean makeup brushes on your face.

That's what makes Klix so innovative and time saving!

So the Klix brush set includes a powder brush, blush brush and a concealer brush.

The powder brush is similar in form to a kabuki brush but it is obviously larger which I like a lot. All of the brushes are made of synthetic white hair which means when you use them the tips will turn the color of what ever you use which I don't like as much. I would have preferred the brushes to have black hair but it's not a huge deal.

It works well in regards to applying powder so it is actually my first choice when I am deciding which brush to use.

The concealer brush doesn't get as much use from me because I tend to use my fingers to blend out my concealer but sometimes I pull it out. It can also double as a foundation brush if you would like it to which is pretty cool.

It blends pretty well, it doesn't leave any streaks or anything like that.

Lastly, the blush brush. I hardly ever pick this up because I do not usually wear blush but sometimes I get the urge for it or I will use it to blend out my foundation which it actually works very well for. It is basically a smaller version of the powder brush.

So let's review!

Pros:
Brush heads are recycalable
Do not have to wash them
Can be used interchangeably
Decent price
Comes in a set and individually
Synthetic hair

Cons:
Brush hair is white
Only three brushes in the set
Can only be bought online

So overall I really love these brushes and I have been using them ever since I got them last year. I recommend them to anyone who is like me and hates cleaning brushes (:

What do you guys think of Klix? Let me know in the comments!

Be safe and I will see you in my next post!

REVIEW: Organix Argan Oil of Morocco Intense Moisture Treatment

Hello beauty lovers! I am back with another review and it is going to be on the Argan Oil of Morocco Intense Moisture Treatment from Organix.

So let's get started.

This product is a deep conditioner which means you use it maybe once or twice a week to give your hair some extra moisture. However, when I first started using this product I used it as a leave in conditioner.

As you guys know I am really big on scents. How the products that I use smells is important to me. I love how this product smells. Since one of the main ingredients in this product is argan oil that is what gives the product its scent. So I recommend that if you do not like the smell of argan oil that you keep searching for a deep conditioner.

Next is the consistency. I like the consistency of this product as a deep conditioner because it is thick and I like really thick deep conditioners. However as a leave in this is not the best product for me because of the thickness and it weighs my hair down. Adding to this, if your hair is really thick then using this product as a leave in conditioner may work for you

Since I am a curly girl I have to look at the ingredients of this product. Like the rest of the Organix line this product contains no silicones or parabens. Also it does not contain any harsh chemicals which is good if you are looking for a good silicone free deep conditioner or leave in.

The way I use this product as a deep conditioner is I wet my hair, apply olive oil, then apply the product, apply more olive oil to seal in the moisture and wrap my hair up in a shower cap. The label says to leave it in for about five minutes but most of the time I leave it in over night.

As a leave in conditioner I soak my hair, apply the product, scruch my hair and then let it air dry.

I purchased Organix Argan Oil of Morocco Intense Moisture Treatment from Target.

So lets review.

Pros:

Wonderful smell (if you like argan oil)
Good as a deep conditioner
Works as a leave in for thicker hair
No harsh chemicals
No silicones
Decent price

Cons:

As a leave in can weigh down thinner hair
May not last long. Not a lot of product

Well guys that is it for this post!

REVIEW: Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie

Hello beauties! I am back with another post and this is going to be a review on a product that I have loved for a while now.

It's the Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie.

So let's get started!

One thing I really like about this product is the smell. I've never actually smelled hibiscus but when you mix it with a little coconut and Shea Butter it as quite pleasing to the nose. It is not over powering but it is definitely not a light smell.

Next is the consistency. This product is very thick. In fact I was a little worried about trying it for the first time because I was afraid it would weigh my hair down and make it look oily. However, despite the thickness it does very well with my hair. I do find myself washing my hair twice a week instead if just once when I use it though.

Since I have naturally curly hair I have to be careful of the products i use in my hair because there are certain ingredients that will dry out my hair. This product, along with the rest of the Shea Moisture line, does not have these ingredients which I really love.

Finally, my results. I love using this product as a moisturizer most of the time but sometimes I will use it as a styler to do pin curls or Bantu knots. I like that it moisturizes and defines my curls without weighing my hair down.

The only thing that I so not like about this product is the price. It was around $11 the last time that I bought it. Even though it is a bit pricey I would say that it's worth it if you have dry hair like mine.

Overall I really love this product and whenever I can afford to I will certainly repurchase it.

I bought the Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie at Target.

Well guys that is it for this post!

Have you tried this product? What did you think? Let me know in the comments!
