GUEST POST BY PAUL SMITH: Top 10 Natural Acne Treatments! (:

Every girl dreams about fresh, healthy and glowing skin. But the reality is such that even those of us who usually can’t complain about their skin condition, often are depressed about those blemishes, which seem to appear from nowhere.

Both dermatologists and nutritionists have the common opinion that the face is a complete reflection of the processes going on in our body. And the main advice is to balance the nutrition by adding more fruit and vegetables and spending more time in the open air enhance our general condition and skin as follows. But what to do if you’re quite healthy and those unpleasant problems still come back time after time? Don’t rush to the nearest shop to get a new advertised treatment. Natural remedies can serve you better. Try one of these:

  1. Tea tree oil is a perfect antiseptic, that doesn't let the infection spread. Apply a thin layer on the breakouts before going to sleep. In the morning you will notice the redness and inflammation reduced or became less visible. Use it regularly to prevent post-acne.
  2. Lemon juice. The acid it contains heals the blemishes, minimizes the pores and lightens the skin slightly, while vitamin C makes your skin looks brighter. Sponge the face with a thin piece of lemon, then wash away.
  3. Cucumber. Slice the cucumber and put the pieces on your face, leave for 20 minutes and then take off. This homemade mask lightens the skin, makes pores less visible and improve the skin condition.
  4. Baking soda is one of the most popular home acne treatments. It minimizes inflammations and is also good for removing the blackheads. Mix one part of soda with two parts of water and add some honey to prevent skin irritation. Leave it on your face for 10 minutes and then wash with the warm water.
  5. Aloe leaf juice. Bring a thin layer of aloe juice on the blemishes and repeat it several times a day. Aloe reduces the inflammation gently and is the perfect treatment for dry skin with acne.
  6. Honey and cinnamon powder. Blend one teaspoon of cinnamon powder with three teaspoons of honey and apply for blemishes overnight. If used regularly, this treatment can clear the acne completely.
  7. White kaolin mask. The kaolin contains the combination of minerals which absorb skin oil, draw toxins and prevent the aging. Mix the kaolin with water and apply on your face for 15 minutes.
  8. Fenugreek paste. Chop the fenugreek leaves and apply the paste directly on blemishes. This paste is also effective for blackheads.
  9. Tomato slice. Rub it on your blemishes. Due to tomato contains vitamin A, it is the best cure to prevent anti-acne scars.
  10. Not a treatment, but a vital point. Drink enough water. Skin diseases often come along with the dehydration. So, drinking enough water, you’ll help your body to get free from toxins.

DIY: Scrub for Body and Face using Olive Oil, Honey and Sugar

Hello beauty fiends! So this post is all about one of my favorite DIY body care products. It is a body scrub!

This scrub can be used all over your body however I use it most often on my lips, I exfoliate my lips at least three times a week to keep them baby soft and smooth (:

And the great thing about this scrub is that it is all natural and you only need three ingredients! Let's go over those shall we (:

Olive Oil

Olive oil has many purposes as a cooking essential and also as a moisturizer for pretty much everything. I use olive oil in this scrub because I feel that it moisturizes my skin better than other oils but you can use whatever oil you want OR you can mix different oils if that is what you desire.

Honey

Honey is also a great moisturizer and I use it in this scrub because I feel like it keeps the rest of the ingredients together but for a better understanding of honey and its benefits check out my DIY deep conditioning treatment using coconut oil, honey and eggs.

Sugar

There are two reasons that I use sugar in this scrub. The first is because of it's grainy nature; it will gently scrub all of the dead skin off of your body and will leave your skin feeling soft and smooth. And the second reason is because it tastes good. I know some of you guys may be thinking that is a little weird but I mostly use this scrub to exfoliate my lips so that is why the taste is very important to me (:

So the way that you make this scrub is very easy (:

If you are just using it for your lips like I do take:

Tablespoon of olive oil
Half a table spoon of honey
Tablespoon of sugar

Then just mix everything together and massage it onto your lips in a circular motion for about 30 seconds. Do not scrub too hard or you might break your skin and start bleeding so be gentle with yourself (:

Then afterwards follow up with a nourishing lip balm to keep your lips from drying. Check out my review on Burt's Bees Hibiscus Tinted Moisturizer, I always use this after exfoliating.

If you want to use this scrub on your entire body use:

2 cups of olive oil
1 cup of honey
2 cups of sugar

Again apply to your body gently in a circular motion and after make sure you moisturize using your favorite lotion.

Your skin and lips should feel baby soft (:

Okay guys that is it for this tutorial, thanks so much for reading!

Be safe and I'll see you in my next post!

Lets be friends!!
