Three Easy Steps to an Ombre Lip

Hello Everyone!

Today I am going to show you all how I do an easy ombre lip.

You can really use any color that you want as long as one is darker than the other. The colors that I decided to use are the Milani Lip Liner in the color Sugar Plum and the NYX Matte Lipstick in the color Hippie Chic.

I used to think that doing ombre lips was really hard so I stayed away from it but I watched a few tutorials and tried it out before realizing how easy it is.

The three steps to an easy ombre lip are line, fill and blend. he blending part is very important. Just like when you're creating an eyeshadow look you don't want any harsh lines when it comes to your ombre lip.

I don't use any tools for my blending I just carefully rub my lips together to create the gradient effect.

After rubbing my lips together I just go over my liner once more, not to much, just to clean up the blending.

And that is it!

I've only done this technique a few times and I have gotten it down to about 5 minutes so this doesn't take too much time at all.

I really encourage you guys to try this out and try it with your own favorite colors (:

Here's what the completed lip looks like:

That's it for this post guys!

FOTD! Joining #FoundationFreeFortnight

Hello lovelies!

This post is going to be a little different because I am hopping on yet another band waggon (the first being my year long no heat challenge).

LibbyGrindell is starting a movement to embrace her own beautiful skin with the hashtag #FoundationFreeFortnight. You can read her post here.

Basically, it's going base free for a fortnight (which is two weeks for those of you not brushed up on Shakespearean English). Which also means that all foundation, BB and CC creams, tinted moisturizers etc. are banned. You can definitely play with the eyes and lips (as you should) but for the duration of the challenge no covering up your skin.

I think this is a fantastic idea. Actually recently, I've been experiencing a time lapse and have not been able to rock a full face of makeup like I used to so I have only been wearing a bold lip, eyeliner and 50 milllion coats of mascara.

Not only has my skin improved exponentially since I started doing this I also find myself worrying less and spending less time in the mirror checking on my makeup because I'm hardly wearing any!

So if you want to join Libby as well, feel free to use the hashtag #FoundationFreeFortnight on Twitter and Instagram and post your base free pictures.

Here are a few of mine (:

That's it for this post guys! There will be another tomorrow so don't worry this one was so short (:

Are you going to join this challenge? Let me know in the comments!

Natural Looking Makeup Collaboration with Niamh xoxo

Hello everyone!

This post is a collaboration with Niamhxo and it is going to be an everyday natural makeup look for older girls. You can check out her post here!

So let's get started!

I started out by priming my face with my Maybelline Age Rewind Primer.

Then I use my concealer palette to prime my eyelids.

Starting with my eye makeup I used my Makeup Academy palette and first taking the light brown color I covered my entire lid and underneath my brow bone. Then using the dark brown color I shaded in my crease and covered my lid.

Using my elf Liquid Eyeliner I created a strong cat eye. Even though this is a natural makeup look I have to rock my cat eye (:

For mascara I used the Wet N Wild Mega Impact mascara and I used about 50 million coats (:

Moving on to my face I am using the L'Oreal Liquid Powder Foundation in Soft Sable and I applied that using my Becca Cosmetics One Perfecting Brush.

For my lips I am using the Nyx Matte Lip Cream in the shade Istanbul.

And this is the completed look (:

Well guys that is it for this post! (:

What is your natural makeup look? (: Let me know in the comments below!

Be safe and I will see you in my next post!
