Beauty Blogger Series: Foundation/MissBeautyObsession

Hello beauty friends I am back with another installment of the Beauty Blogger series that is being coordinated by MissBeautyObsession and this post is going to be about my favorite foundation at the moment so this is going to double as a review as well (:

Also if you would like to be a part of the Beauty Blogger Series check out this post on her blog (:

So let's get on to the post!

My absolute favorite foundation right now is by Urban Decay and it is their Naked Skin Foundation (:

I got this when I went on my very small shopping spree to Sephora because I had read a few reviews about it and I really wanted to try it

So first of all when I used this foundation for the first time I thought that it was a little too watery and I thought that I was not going to like it because I am used to my foundation being a little thicker but I realized that it is thinner because it is supposed to be lighter on the skin.

So when I applied it I could still see my skin underneath it but it still evened out my skin tone so I did not really mind it.

I like that it does not weigh my face down, it seriously feels like I am not wearing makeup at all and I also like the fact that I can wear this foundation when it is hot out because it does not make me sweat as much as I would using a thicker foundation

This foundation matches my skin tone pretty well, it is a tad bit lighter than I am but it is not really noticeable unless you are really inspecting it.

I apologize for the rats nest on my head -_-

If you want a more full coverage look with this foundation you will definitely have to do more than one coat because it is designed to be a lighter foundation

So overall I would say that this is a pretty fantastic foundation even though the shades availible are a bit limited I would say try it if you can (:

Have you ever tried this foundation? Do you like lighter coverage or fuller coverage for your foundation? Let me know in the comments below (:

Well guys that is it for this post!

Be safe and I will see you in my next post! (:

REVIEW, PHOTOS AND SWATCHES: BareMinerals Moxie Lipglosses And Lipsticks

Hello beauty friends I am back with another review post for you guys (: and this post is on something that I have fallen so deeply in love with ever since I tried them at BeatuyCon (:

I am going to be reviewing the BareMinerals Moxie lipgloss and lipstick line (:

So I am going to start out with the lipsticks (:

So the two shades that I got from this collection are Never Say Never and Break Away (:

Never Say Never is a very bright Barbie pink. It is matte however it has a cream finish. It goes very smooth onto the lips and it does not make them feel dry once it has been applied. Since the color is so bright I do not need to apply very much, usually one swipe on my top and bottom lips is enough. Usually I tend to stay away from pinks like this, however I decided to take a walk on the wild side and try it out (: and I actually like it. At $18 for 0.12 fl. oz. it is a little pricey but I am not going to lie I love these lipsticks and I think they are worth it (:

Next is Break Away

Break Away is a lot darker than Never Say Never I call it closer to a nude than a pink but there is a hint of pink in it. Like the previous color is it matte but it has a creamy finish and it goes onto the lips really nicely. This is my favorite lipstick right now. It is really hard for me to find a nude color because my skin tone is nude so when I wear a nude lipstick it just makes my lips look ashy. But I love this color, it looks really nice and I use this as my nude color even though it is a few shades darker than my natural lip color. Unfortunately I smashed it once after I used ti so that's why it looks so awful -_-

The packaging is really nice. You push down on the sliver button and slide it down and then you slip the lipstick out of the top case which keeps them protected. Once I figured out how to open it I realized that these lipstick smell like cookies, a lovely scent in my opinion. That is another thing that I like (:

Now we are on to the lip glosses (:

First up is party starter

Party starter is one of favorites out of the lip glosses that I have tried from this line. It is a beautiful, shimmery, bright peach shade. I really wanted a peach shade because I think it goes really well with my skin tone and I just think that peach is kind of a misunderstood shade so I was excited to try this gloss. It does give a bit of color to my lips and it has a lot more shimmer than the other glosses do.

Up next is Game Changer

This is a very beautiful and vibrant red color! I was so happy when I got this color because I had been scouring for a really good red gloss. I love this color because it does give my lips a red tint but it does not make it overly red or take over my face.

Rebel is next

I already have a gloss by NYX that is a similar color, that I talk about in my Favorite Everyday Lip Colors, but I really wanted to try out different brands of this same gloss and I have to say that I really do like this gloss. It has less shimmer than the NYX gloss which is good. It has a thicker formula as well so it sticks to my lips better (:

Last but definitely not least is Spark Plug

Now this is my favorite shade out of all of the Moxie glosses that I have tried (: mostly because it is a nude-ish gloss color. If you guys have not realized already I am a little addicted to nudes. This gloss also gives me a similar tint as the Break Away lipstick. It also has a bit of a shimmer to it which is okay since it is not extremely noticeable (:

One thing that I love about these glosses is the formula. It is thick which means it adheres to my lips better and it stays on longer (in my opinion). I'm really glad that they did not go overboard on the sparkles as well.

The only problem that I have with these glosses is the smell. Unlike the wonderful cookie smell that the lipsticks have these glosses smell like menthol and they make my lips tingle when I apply them but other than that I think that these glosses are fantastic and recommend them to anyone who has a thing for lipglosses like I do (:

Have you tried these Moxie glosses or lipsticks? What do you think? If you have not, do you think that these are some things you would like to try? Let me know in the comments below! (:

Okay guys well that's it for this post!

Be safe and I will see you in my next post! (:

GUEST POST BY OHHEYTONE: Fall Beauty Essentials (:

Hello beauty friends (: so today I have a treat for you all....A guest post! (: The post is by Toni from ohheytone.com keep in mind this is only a snippet of her talent so be sure to check out her entire blog because it is amazing!!!! (:

Okay enough of my rambling on to the post (:

Hey guys,

I’m Toni and I’m guest posting on this lovely site today. I’ve loved this site for a while so when the opportunity came up to guest post I jumped at the chance!

Autumn is my favorite season with the leaves changing and the holidays approaching so I thought I would share with you my fall beauty essentials.

Moisturizer

With it getting colder and colder I find my skin drying up so much more than in the summer months so a great moisturizer is essential to keep skin in good condition.

I live in London and we recently had Victoria Secrets open here (hooray!) and I am obsessed with their
Vanilla Lace collection. It smells divine and is a really creamy moisturizer which soaks into the skin.

I recommend that entire range but their moisturizer in particular is perfect for winter.

Hand cream

I always find in winter that my hands suffer the most and so a hand cream is always necessary. I adore Soap and Glory’s
Hydrating Hand Food. It leaves my skin so soft and smells really rich. It contains macadamia oil, shea butter and marshmallow, actual marshmallow!

Nail polish
Halloween has to be my favorite holiday. We don’t celebrate it that much in London which is a shame but to get a little in the spirit with some nail art.

An orange nail or maybe a
crackle effect polish to just get me into the spirit of the holidays and then they can be worn throughout autumn and into winter.

Eye makeup corrector pen

One thing I hate about London is the rain. It is always raining! That means that when I have to get somewhere my eye make up makes me look like I’m an extra in a horror film – there is eyeliner everywhere
I subscribe to a subscription box called Glossybox and they sent me a eye make up corrector pen one month and it has been so, so good to me.
E.l.f Cosmetics do a great one too and it is literally a pen that removes the smudges of eye make up. An absolute must have for winter.

Lipstick – deep red

I love a good lip stick, I feel it can bring an outfit to a whole new level or from day to evening with one simple product. MAC do the best, in particular I love their
Cyber shade which is a purple satin lip stick and applies so well and is long lasting. The color is perfect for a vampish look at a party or over dinner.

So there you have it, my fall beauty essentials! If you like this post then feel free to check me out over at my blog – ohheytone.com
