HOW TO: Fishtail Braid

Hello my beauty lovers so today I am going to show you guys how to do a fishtail braid on you hair. It is fairly easy and in my opinion it is actually easier than doing a regular braid because instead of using three sections of hair you are only using two.

I made a video for those of you who are more visual learners (: but for those of you that want to read how you do this go ahead and scroll down past the video

So lets get started!

Step one:
You want to make sure that you hair is free of tangles and that it is smooth enough for you to run your fingers through it. Trust me this will make it so much easier.

Step two:
Tie your hair however you want using a hair tie that has no metal (hair ties that have metal can cause hair to become tangled and break which is not good). I prefer to tie my hair over the side (:

Step three:
You want to separate your hair into two equal sections

Step four:
You want to take a small section of hair from the outside of one of the larger sections and cross it over that section over to the other section of hair and hold it with your hand in place

Step five:
Take another small section from the opposite section of hair that you took from the first time and cross it over to the other section of hair and hold it in place

Step six:
Keep taking small sections of hair from the outside and cross it over until you get all the way to the bottom of your hair and then tie the braid off with an elastic with no metal

Step seven (optional):
Take the first elastic band off

Step eight (optional):
Gently tug on the braid in order to loosen it up and give it more volume

Step nine:
Accessorize (:

Well guys that is it for this post (: I hope this post and video helped some of you

REVIEW, PHOTOS AND SWATCHES: Shea Moisture Deep Conditioning Masque!

Hello lovelies I am back with another review on a product that I mentioned in my September Favs Post, and this time I going to be reviewing the Shea Moisture Deep Conditioning Masque.

So when I went looking for a new deep conditioner I am not going to lie I already had this brand in mind because I had heard so many good things about it so I really wanted to try it.

So the first thing that struck me about this conditioner was the packaging of course. It comes in a really nice container the only thing that I did not like is that it needs to be bigger so they can put more product in it because I am already out ): On the side they have the ingredients and the story of how Shea moisture got started which I though was really cool (:

Next thing that attracted me to this conditioner was the smell. It is unmistakably raw Shea butter which should be obvious because it is right on the package. I do not smell much if anything else at all besides that so I would say that if you do not like the smell of Shea butter I would not recommend buying this product.

So lets get into how I use this baby (: it's very simple really. First I add some coconut oil to the masque, on the label it says to use olive oil but I like coconut oil better so that's what I use but you can use any oil I believe. Next I separate the front and back parts of my hair and tie the front part up and split the back part into two sections. then I just take the mixture and complete saturate my hair in sections with it (: then once I have done that I take a plastic bag and tie it onto my head and then I wrap my scarf around that to really lock in the heat so that the moisture penetrates my hair shaft. Then after about 2 hours I hop into the shower and rinse my hair. I do not wash the masque out I only rinse and I do not over rinse I would say about 20 seconds for each side of my head then I just dry it and style it as usual.

Now on to my feelings about this product....I love it. I love the way that it makes my hair feel. I love that my hair has a shine to it after wards and I love that I can tell that my hair is moisturized. Also I have noticed that after using this masque I do not have to use as much product in my hair which I like (:

So overall I will most definitely be purchasing the product again and I recommend it to everyone with hair no matter what type (:

Okay guys well that is it for this post!

Be safe and I will see you in my next post (:

P.S. I am doing this post on the bus on my way to iFabbo (: for anyone who is going I shall see you in a few hours!

My Morning Curly Hair Routine For Wet Hair To Get Soft Shiny Curls!

Hello everyone so I am going to tell you guys about my current curly hair routine. It changes pretty much every month but I want to show you guys what I am currently doing to get my hair the way it is.

It is very simple for two reasons. Number one I am lazy and I do not like to do a lot of things right before I go to sleep and that is usually when I style my hair for the next day. And number two I do not like to use a lot of product in my hair because it is so thin and it will weigh it down.

So enough of my rambling lets get on to the tutorial!

So what I believe is the most important part of my curly hair routine is my deep conditioning treatment. I use an all natural conditioning treatment for my hair click here if you would like to see it! I do this routine twice a week because I absolutely need to keep my hair moisturized because if I do not my hair will look like big frizzy mess. So I make sure that I do this treatment twice a week and this is also important because the only days I wash my hair during the week are before I am about to deep condition.

So after I do my deep conditioning treatment I hop out of the shower and detangle my hair using my paddle brush. Then I towel dry it so that it is not soaking wet but it is still pretty damp. Then I take my spray bottle and I fill it halfway with water then I take some coconut oil and some of my leave in conditioner,

Right now I am using the Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Intensely Smooth Leave-In Conditioning Creme,

And I re wet my hair with this mixture. After I have re wet my hair I comb the mixture through my hair and make sure that every single strand has been moisturized. Then after that I take some of my Coconut Milk Nourishing Anti-Breakage Serum, click here to see my review, and I simply scrunch my hair all the way up to roots continuously until my hair is nice and curly.

Once my hair dries I have soft, bouncy shiny curls.

And that is really it for my morning curly hair routine, I also do this routine when I was too lazy to style my hair the night before. So it really has a dual purpose (:

Well I hope that you guys found this helpful or at the very least interesting (:

Be safe and I'll see you in my next post.
